# HIRA Customized Research Request Template

## Research Purpose

본 연구는 국내 폐암 환자의 요양기관별 신규 진료 및 치료 개시 규모를 파악하기 위한 후향적 청구자료 분석 연구이다. 대상 질환은 ICD-10/KCD 기준 C33 및 C34로 정의한다. 분석 대상 기간은 2024년 1월 1일부터 자료 제공 가능 최신월까지로 하며, 신규 환자는 분석기간 내 C33/C34 상병으로 최초 청구된 환자 중 index date 이전 5년간 C33/C34 청구 이력이 없는 환자로 정의한다. 요양기관별 산출은 요양기관기호 또는 비식별 기관군 단위로 수행하며, 연도·월·요양기관 종별·소재지별 신규 진료환자 수, 입원/외래 구분, 항암치료·방사선치료·수술 여부를 집계한다.

## Cohort Rule

1. Include patients with at least one claim containing C33 or C34 as principal or secondary diagnosis in the analysis period.
2. Define index date as the first C33/C34 claim date in the analysis period.
3. Exclude patients with any C33/C34 claim in the five years before index date.
4. Produce sensitivity analysis with three-year wash-out if feasible.

## Requested Safeguards

- Use aggregated output only.
- Apply small-cell suppression according to provider rules.
- Do not attempt individual or institution re-identification outside the approved analysis plan.
- If direct institution code output is restricted, use pre-approved hospital groups.

## Treatment Code Workstream

The initial application can request capability to define:

- anticancer treatment start: antineoplastic drug general ingredient codes and claim dates,
- radiation therapy: relevant radiation procedure codes,
- lung cancer surgery: lung resection and related thoracic surgery procedure codes.

Final code lists should be reviewed against the applicable claim-code year and clinical advisor input before submission.
